Rain and thunderstorms
Blowing wind; howling, scary
No sleep for mommy
I hated storms, too
Used to sleep with little bro
How to calm these fears?

Okay, so you KNOW what I'm going to say (because I'm a total loser and can't help myself - please forgive me), hide underneath that MASSIVE robe! :)
Storms in January? Not. good. We just a tornado warning of all things?!?
Great Haiku...been storming our way the last couple of days too....
Happy Friday!
my 11 year old son freaks out when it storms. his room is in the corner of our house so, it's like a wind tunnel and the noise freaks him out, poor guy. i used to be so scared, too! so, i usually have to lay down with him and wait for him to fall asleep...he's 11...almost 12!! my baby boy!
I'm still laughing at Mama Geek. It is a tough fear to overcome. I think you are doing right. Gotta reassure.
My 4 year old's had night terrors the last few nights. It's so hard to see them afraid. And to know that I am the one that is responsible for calming them.
Hope you have a drier day.
Awwwwwwwwwwww... Storms don't freak anyone out, here, but the dog. I'm sorry your sweetie was scared. Great haiku.
Luckily, mine sleep right through them.
Hope you can sneak a nap!
Poor kids.
I've somehow convinced my boys that storms are super cool, so they aren't freaked out anymore. I actually took them outside on our front porch to watch a lightening storm last summer and since then they kinda like them.
We've got storms headed our way too. I love them - perfect excuse for getting under a blanket and catching up on tv or book reading.
We've got sheets of rain here, but no thunder. It's hard to soothe the little ones when it's so vicious outside!
awww.... poor kidlets.
My 10 yr old will still come into my room when it storms. But something tells me I will miss it when he stops.
Great 'ku.
