Poonch-key has arrived
A Polish treat before Lent
Jelly-filled doughnut

I'm not Catholic
But will eat the pastry, sure
Teeth aching sweetness

Here are more Haiku Friday posts!

Looks pretty tasty and tempting to me, but I will not leave to buy a donut. I will not leave to buy a donut. I will not leave the house to buy a donut. I won't!

YUMMY. That looked divine. And, quit reminding me Lent's so near. Only a week and a half until I can't eat meat for crap.

I remember my Babcia making these. My mother's parents came from Poland. Wow, the memories.
