Haiku Baby Hair

Check out this boy's hair!
Sticking straight up, straggly, long
Time for first haircut

Why do I feel so
sad? Another goodbye to
baby days, my last

No chullets here but still time for a first haircut, nonetheless. My neighbor, a stylist, has been recommending it for a few months but I ignored her until this week. The hair? Well, it is getting crazy and just looks badly. *sigh* With The Conqueror being more than likely my last, this is another milestone that I was dreading; another farewell to babyhood. I relished all of these little milestones with my daughter; looked forward to them. Not this time around; although the recent sleeping through the night has been wonderful....

What a cutie! I was so heartbroke when we cut our chullet for the first time too. The milestones are flying by too fast, no?

Have a good weekend T!

Oh he's so cute. We are right there with you, My 1 year old needs a haircut in the worst way but I am holding off for a little while longer.

I know the feeling.

Another funny (but not so good for the kid) thing I noticed in myself is that I expected a lot less responsibility from the youngest child than from the older ones. I would think he was "too young" to operate the riding lawnmower, for example, until all the older ones reminded me at what age they had started that chore. :P

Isn't that weird?

Thanks for your comment over my way, too. :)

My daughter is 17 months and she hasn't had a haircut yet, but she is the youngest of four so I can't say if it is for sentimental reasons or basic neglect! He is adorable!

Oh, sweetie. I feel for you. It's tough to reach those mile markers. At least a few more months until the birthday?

my "baby" starts high school in the fall -- hold on to these special moments. they go so quickly!

(uh, i guess that didn't help, did it?)

Sleeping through the night? I'm so jealous!!!

I didn't cut my oldest son's hair until he was almost 2. My nephews finally convinced me when they told me he looked like a girl!

First cuts are sad... so is an end to the baby days. How can we barely wait for them to end, and miss them so much all at once?

Breaks my heart remembering!

It is sad, since we just did Pooky's 1st haircut last month, I know. And they always look so much older after the hair is cut - like a big kid. *sigh*

Awww...his hair is cute. Love those baby wisps coming out from behind the ears.

We've never had a first haircut here - I'll probably be sad when it happens.
