Siblings At Sunset

I have always wanted to have our family photos taken while at the beach by a professional.

When I called and found out how exorbitant and like highway robbery cost-prohibitive it can be, I thought hey, I have a camera and a couple kids...let's give it a whirl!

Well, a whirl I gave it and they turned out pretty well, I think, considering the camera is a point and shoot and I am a mediocre photog at best.

What you can't tell is that Liam did a header into the surf about 6 seconds after this shot. Another reason not to wear a new white onesie to the beach....

  1. Who needs professionals? This is a great shot. I'd hang that on my wall in a heartbeat. Pictures of kids, taken from the back, are my absolute favorite.

  6. I think you did just fine with your camera and you have the memories to go with them! The one you shared is very nice. My good friend Octamom (www.octamom.com) has a post on some great stuff that gets out everything!!!I suppose it would take out ocean grunge!

  13. Wow, what an awesome shot. I love the beachy ones. If you're any where close to where I live (Orange County), I'll photo your kids. I'm a budding professional so guess what that means?? I'm cheap!! (in the good sense).

  14. I love those beach shots too and for me doing it yourself is so much better because the memories (like his header)are then attached to the photo.
